Someone asked me why I hadn’t said anything about 9/11. I haven’t forget. No one who was over four years old will ever forget that day, it is like the day the Challenger exploded, or Kennedy died (for those older than me,) D-Day, etc.
You don’t forget, but you cannot wallow in the memories, it only makes it worse. I woke up this morning, thanked the universe for another day, thought about the 3,000 plus we lost that day and then…
I thought about the thousands of soldiers we lost in two wars that came from it. I thought about the civilians who died in Iraq and Afghanistan. I thought about all the babies whose Moms and Dads never came home. Not just the ones here, but all of those affected by the terrorist attack of 9/11.
I will not forget. I have not forgotten. I remember all the lost, white, black, brown, of all religions, or no religion. I light a candle in the memory of all those who have died of a result of the terrorist attacks of 9/11. Those in New York, Arlington (where the Pentagon actually is,) Pennsylvania, Iraq, Afghanistan.
All those lost (other than the actual terrorists who brought down the planes and those who sided with them) are worthy of our memories.
With that said, may the universe look kindly on everyone, may love fill your life, and may someday there be no more terrorist attacks, no more war, no more man killing man out of fear or hatred.
