Merry Christmas

Tuesday, December 25th, 2007

Santa granted me one of my wishes already, I won 300 dollars at the Lodge last night from one of the end of the year drawings. That made our Christmas a bit cheerier.

Now, I’m just waiting, impatiently, for the morning to watch the boys open their presents. And, for that I should be heading to bed.

Have a fantastic day.

Last night we shopped until 1 AM. I am done, I shopped until I dropped, then shopped some more.

I haven’t shopped like this in years, it felt wonderful buying gifts for my family, both blood related and not. I’m so filled with holiday cheer right now that it is sickening. In fact, it is time to head to the Lodge for more cheer. Have a wonderful day and a Merry Christmas Eve. can bite my…

I ordered a game back on December 4th for my niece, along with a bunch of other things for various and assorted people. Everything on the order had been here for a couple weeks except the game. I finally email them 2 days ago, and they replied:

“This item has been canceled.”

Ok, you assholes, according to my order information ON THE SITE it will be shipped in five days. Needless to say, I am not happy. I thought I was done other than Tony’s stocking but, now we get to go find another present for my niece. I wouldn’t be as mad if they had actually contacted me instead of me having to contact them to find out that it wouldn’t be coming.

And, I’m still waiting on one thing for Tony but, if that isn’t on time I can always give him that for his birthday which on January 11th. The dread I feel for having to drive into town and deal with the crowds tomorrow is horrendously overpowering.

This is why I shop online so I don’t have to deal with crowds. Dammit. Oh, well, I’ll cheer up shortly when I have Kyrsie’s present in hand.

The pile of cookies continues to grow. At this point the counter has two stacks of plastic shoe box sized boxes stacked four high. Plus, the two kinds in the fridge and the dough resting on the washing machine plus, the ingredients for several more kinds. Oh, and the frozen Snowman cookies that the boys have already eaten.

Right now, I am trying to make myself go back to the kitchen and continue the baking. If I don’t get a move on, I’ll either still be baking on Christmas Eve or I’ll end up with ingredients that go to waste. As much money that went out on all this stuff means that they will not go to waste if I’m baking until New Year’s.

Off, I go, and maybe I’ll actually get pictures tonight.

Ho ho ho.

My sisters, Mary and Katie. And, you can’t see him but, I have a nephew in the picture as well, Katie is due in February with a little boy.

Mary is 2.5 years younger than me, Katie is 1.5 years younger than Mary.

These are my parents, Richard and Ruthi,
they have been married for 33 years. They were babies when they started having kids.

I’ll have a longer entry this evening when everything has settled down and I don’t have 2 kids trying to destroy the house.

Have a great day.
