Ah, December is upon us.  It must be time for Holidailies, again.  Well, yes, yes it is.  I signed up this year solely for the push to actually get back into updating regularly.  This has been a dismal journalling year.

Can I redeem myself in the last month of this year?  We'll see won't we.

_____________

A quick introduction to those who are clicking in from Holidailies portal.

I'm Suzy, 28, gimpy, fat, married.  I live in Virginia with my husband, my parents, my brother, his girlfriend, and their 3 month old son.  Yes, it's a fullhouse.  I have two sisters, one of whom has a 4 year old little girl.

Politically, I lean pretty far liberal other than on the issue of gun control.  I'm a fat activist, I have a website called FatBottomedGirls devoted to those issues.

I'm an officer in the Women of the Moose's local chapter and this time of year I spend a lot of time working with various things involving that.

I am also a housewife, since I became disabled.  I write on the side for various places.  I babysit my niece and nephew quite a bit and I'm sure you'll hear about them, sometime this month.

I cook, I have within the past year or two, developed a great interest in cooking and spent a lot of time researching various techniques and learning about it.  I'm working on writing a class (along with others) for Egullet's online culinary school.

I'm tattooed and pierced (and yes, I know that doesn't fit with everything I've stated above.)  I have four tattoos (yin yang, daisies, stars and a heart with our monogram) all on my legs.  I have a nostril piercing and multiple ear piercings.

I post pictures of me, sometimes, as I like to know what others look like when I'm reading their journals.  Speaking of journals, I've been doing this since March of 2000.  My first site was at Geocities and in fact the index file is still there.  I lasted there until November of 2000 and I've been here ever since.

Anything else?  Well, keep reading and check out the archives.  I'm putting up the original archives here and there, with forward links that work.

__________

Hey, you all that have been reading for awhile, now you can read again.  The introduction is over.

Thanksgiving was good, tiring, but good.  My family gathered here, as per normal.  I roasted 2 turkeys on Wednesday, so all we would have to do is reheat them on Thursday.  They both came out fairly well, albeit one was a little overdone as I got distracted with something I was writing.  All in all I spent 13.5 hours cooking and cleaning on Wednesday.

Thanksgiving day was good, we ate, we headed to Tony's family.  We got a late start, due to things taking longer here than we originally planned.  Tony's sister had flown in for Thanksgiving.  We won't see any of them for Christmas since they'll head out to her home for that.

____________

Let's see, what else do I need to catch up on?

Katie (my sister) got full custody of Kyrsie as of the day before Thanksgiving.  We're all hoping this will help her to get back into a schedule and a more stable life.  She's been bouncing back and forth between parents for so long, that it's causing behavior problems with her.  Not to mention the lack of supervision when she's at her Dad's house.

RJP III (my nephew) is now 3.5 months old and a whopper of a child.  He's growing so fast, you would never believe he was less than 6 pounds at birth.  His new favorite thing is talking to everyone.  You talk to him and he will coo and caw and just smile the whole time.

Tony's classes are there.  Actually he's doing very well.  It's just amazing at how much time they take.  He is taking some very involved courses that require a lot of work.  The end of this semester approaches, though and he'll have a couple of weeks without the long ass drive (2 hours each way.)

Other than that, well it's the same old, same old for me.  My bar is closed, my friends are busy (Tracey, call me), and well I haven't been up to much other than what I've already mentioned.

Which makes daily entries, interesting.  I have a lot of things I've wanted to write about, but have slacked on, you'll see them in the next 31 days.

Have a good one.
