December 8, 2003 We ended up taking RJP III to the doctor this afternoon. He has respiratory infection and an ear infection. He's now on antibiotics to try and kick it out of him. For a baby as sick as he is, RJP III is a remarkably happy little guy. He's not completely himself, crying a little more and not eating nearly as much as normal, but it could be much worse. ________ I'm still waiting for my fabric for Christmas. It was supposedly sent out last week but it has not shown up. I'm going to end up spending Christmas eve sewing, instead of with my family. Remind me to order my fabric a couple months in advance next year, okay? _________ Why is it the older I get the more my skin reacts like a teenager's? I'm 28, tromping steady forward, yet, I have the skin of a 15 year old. Every day I look in the mirror and there is another damn bump. Is it revenge? I spent my teen years with very few pimples, none of the normal teen angst over looking like yesterday's pizza. In fact, I could probably count the total number of teenage zits on both hands. Now, I'm lucky if I have that many on a good day. As of right no, I have four on my right cheek, one on my chin, a silent lurker underneath my left eye and two of them poking out of my hairline. And its not as if my skin is oily, in fact it's getting drier every year. If I don't moisturize my forehead looks like the Sahara, my cheeks are even worse. I can feel them tightening as I sit here, as I'm trying to avoid adding more fuel to the zit fire. Not to even mention the new little lines peeking from around my eyes. A little light line from my left eye is marching out, as if a drum major leading the wrinkle parade. It is not fair that I have the skin issues of a 15 year old and a 50 year old at the same time. _________ I'm gone. Have a great week.
