I know, it's been a whole month since I've written an entry here.

The notify list got several email entries, there has been some stuff in the blog, but, really I've been neglectful.

I'm working on entries about our trip to Indiana, for now, you get the basics of recent life.  And in short form. 
 

The biggest thing in my life right now, is that my Daddy is in the hospital.  He started off earlier last week with flulike symptoms, progressing extremely quickly until he was severely ill.

It turns out he had a severe infection (cellulitis of all things, no, it's not contagious.)  It was high in his legs and he ended up with a severe abcess, that was removed in surgery yesterday.

He's on massive antibiotics and painkillers.  The infection had spread fairly far, fairly fast, and since he's a man, and men tend to ignore health problems, he just tried to let his 'flu' run it's course.

Last I talked to Mom,  he was still on a ventilator post surgery and is listed in critical condition.  She's supposed to call in a few hours to let us know if we can even go see him.  He may be in isolation, since part of his leg is open to the air to drain.

Which means even if I scrub and gown, I still can't go in with him.  My chair (I have a rental chair,  right now) or my cane can't be properly disinfected.

Right now, my whole focus is on my Daddy and I can't say when I'll be updating here,  again.  Watch the blog or join the notify list.  They'll be the places I'm more likely to update.
